Project HHK

For the Heel Holland Kookt project (named after a Dutch TV cooking show), our team was asked to design a recipe app for cooking enthusiasts between 40 and 60 years old. The goal of the app was to support users in a clear and accessible way while preparing a specific dish that two amateur cooks made in a video; in our case, burgers with fries.

We started with a ‘user journey’ by recreating the dish ourselves at home. That way we experienced the steps, challenges and needs while cooking. Based on this experience, we each started designing screen sketches, which we later combined into a clickable lo-fi prototype in Adobe XD. This early version was tested with users to improve the design.

The final result was a hi-fi prototype of the app, supported by online project documentation and several user tests. The focus was on usability, clear instructions and meeting the needs of the target audience.
